Doctor
Dr. Lewis J Gelfand , DVM Dr. Lewis Gelfand is the founder and president of All Creatures Veterinary Services. Dr. Gelfand is a Long Beach native of sorts, having been born in Long Beach but raised in Bethpage, NY. He obtained his undergraduate training at the University of Minnesota, and earned a Masters degree in Genetics and his doctorate in veterinary medicine at Iowa State University. Since returning to Long Island to practice in 1983, Dr. Gelfand has served as acting president of the Long Island Veterinary Medical Society and as chairman of the Long Island Ethics Committee. Dr. Gelfand's primary interests include surgery where he was one of the first to use lasers in private practice, oncology and degenerative musculoskeletal disease . Dr. Gelfand advocates the digitalization of veterinary medicine and has kept All Creatures technologically at the tip of the profession with computer generated radiography, and ultrasonography. His non-veterinary interests include coaching baseball and girls softball, working out, golf, and spending time with his wife, two children and their three dogs.
Dr. Wayne B Geltman , DVM Dr. Wayne Geltman has been with All Creatures Veterinary Services since 1995 and became a partner in the practice in 2003. It is somewhat of a homecoming for Dr. Geltman, having graduated from Long Beach High School in 1983. He obtained his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and his DVM from the University of Florida in 1994. Prior to joining All Creatures, Dr. Geltman completed a 1 year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Geltman's area of special interest includes all aspects of internal medicine, particularly the integration of the best of western medicine with complementary therapies such as acupuncture, nutrition, homeopathy and herbal remedies. Dr. Geltman became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2002 through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (I.V.A.S.) post-graduate training course. Dr. Geltman enjoys exercising, reading and rooting for his favorite teams (Jets, Yankees, Knicks, Penn Quakers and Florida Gators!) But most of all he loves spending time with his wife, two children, golden retriever and the rest of his family and close friends. |  View |
Dr. Laurie Granata , DVM | Dr. Laurie Granata obtained her B.S. from SUNY Stonybrook and her D.V.M from Ross University in 1998. Prior to joining All Creatures in 2007, she had been practicing both general and emergency/critical care medicine. Her veterinary interests include surgery, critical care and ultrasound. Outside the hospital, Dr. Granata enjoys exercising, hiking and spending time with her two dogs and two cats. |  View |
Dr. Tina R. Ting , DVM | Dr. Ting joined All Creatures in 2007 after graduating from Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a native Long Islander with a passion for cats with 7 of her own fuzzy felines at home (Marley, Mac, Kitty, Reilly, Yogi, Mia and Emmie). Dr. Ting's areas of interest in veterinary medicine include ultrasound, dentistry, feline internal medicine and holistic medicine/acupuncture. When not in the hospital, Dr. Ting enjoys going to the movies, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. |  View |

Michele

Michele has been with All Creatures Veterinary Services since 1984. First as an assistant to Dr. Gelfand when he started his mobile veterinary house call service and then as receptionist when the hospital opened in 1987. Her position is Office Manager for our ever expanding hospital.
Michele and her husband are lifelong Long Beach residents and have a young son.

Technician
Lisa Lisa is the full time head technician and has been with All Creatures since 1993. She graduated from Molloy College in 1989 with a degree in Philosophy/Psychology/Biology and then furthered her studies in animal science at SUNY Farmingdale. Lisa graduated as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 1993. Lisa's veterinary interests are surgical nursing and wildlife rehabilitation. |  View |
Susann Susann is a full time licensed veterinary technician at All Creatures. She graduated from Suffolk Community College in 2000 with a degree as a L.V.T. Susann's area of special interest is veterinary parasitology and has been with All Creatures since 1996. |  View |
Monique | Monique's first experience at All Creatures was in 1994 as a client with her own dogs. Following her positive experiences as a client, she started working first as a receptionist and eventually began working as a licensed veterinary technician in 2007. She has two dogs of her own that keep her occupied when she's not at work. She loves and treats them like they are her kids and only wants the best for them. Monique and the rest of our staff try to provide this same level of care for all the pets that come to All Creatures. View |
Catherine | Ever since she was little, Cat knew she wanted to work with animals. Now, she is fulfilling her dreams as a 2008 graduate of Suffolk Community College's Veterinary Technician Program. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys her time off and catching up with friends. She aspires to be a great technician and a continuing asset to the All Creatures team. View |
Cristina | Cristina graduated from the veterinary technician's program at Suffolk Community College in 2007 and she joined our team in June 2008. Prior to working at All Creatures, she had been in the veterinary field for 5 years with a special interest in surgical nursing. Cristina always had an animal in her household while growing up and that still hasn't changed. She has 6 dogs a home that she loves, especially her cockapoo Charlie. View |
Reception
Adele Adele is the front desk supervisor and has been with All Creatures since 2000. She has 4 cats and would love to have a dog someday if her cats would allow it! |  View |
Dawn Dawn has been with All Creatures since 2002 and in the veterinary field for over 20 years! Her special treasures are her family members including many "furry" ones. Dawn's interests are time with her loved ones, photography, antiques and the outdoors. |  View |
Danielle Danielle is one of our favorites at All Creatures. She started working in the kennel in 2000 and has been a receptionist fulltime since 2006. Because of her experience, flexibility and compassion, she is a highly valued member of our team. She lives in Long Beach with her family,which includes her little dachshund "Chocolate". |  View |

Doreen has worked for All Creatures since 2002. She demonstrates a professionalism and dedication that our clients have come to expect. Doreen is married and has two wonderful children that she devotes most of her time to. She grew up in Long Beach and now resides in Island Park. As Doreen says, "There is still Long Beach sand in my shoes". |
